we stayed at son parc on the north coast which is a very nice family resort, with good beaches. but i agree with the other people here, cala en porter is nice, but i thought binibeca was wonderful. when we arrived there was a guy sitting on a wall wearing a white shirt and black waistcoat with a broad brimmed hat playing spanish guitar. it was so spanish it was like a set-up!
go to mahon and ciutadella, and up monte toro too if you get the chance.

stayed in arenal den castell (unsure of spelling) 2 years ago with my young family. It was very pretty and laid back not at all in your face. We stayed at the Arepar apartments and these are great for families. Nice small complex but within walking distance of everything. Beautiful laidback place x

We're going to Binibeca in August with our 8 month old daughter. It was recommended to us by several people and is quite but not too far away from Mahon which is the capital.
Menorca is a great island for families without being as tourist or noisy as it's neighbours so wherever you choose you'll have a great time.

Hi

We stayed in Arenall D'en Castell a couple of years ago for a family holiday when us kids were still quite young - and it was lovely. Lovely and clean and some nice little supermarkets/shops, beachside resteraunts, the beach is quite large and clean, theres watersports on the beach such a pedalos etc. quite a few bars for meals and the locals were really friendly. Cant remember where we stayed but the hotels were all nice aswell.

They also do coach trips into Mahon which I reccomend!

I'm planning to go back there next year with boyfriend.

Hope this helps?

calan porter is good only problem might be the steep walk down to the beach. (there are steps but a lot of them!)
