Moving to Spain. City, job and quality of life? |
I'm from Mexico and a legal resident of the United States finishing my bachelor degree in International Business with an emphasis in Marketing. I speak Spanish and English fluently and some Italian. After graduation I want to move to spain to pursue an marketing career. I've also considered Italy.
Does anyone know what part of Spain would have good paying jobs and how hard is it to get a job with an american degree? I'm also considering finishing an MBA in the United States and then moving. Does it matter if you have an MBA from USA instead of somewhere in Europe?
I would appreciate any information from anyone that lives or has lived there. Thank you. |

Hola,

There are jobs in marketing in Spain. The jobs are mainly in Madrid.
I agree with the previous writer but would add that the pay is better if you can find a job in Spain from the States.
I would recommend that you get some good experience working with a multinational before you go or get them to send you.
Spain has some excellent business graduates but there is high graduate unemployment.
Madrid is like a very small, much richer, D.F. The sea is a 5 hour drive away.
The other center, Barcelona, is a port and, I think, a better place to live and work. Employers there often seek Catalan speakers.
Regarding your qualifications, a good MBA from a good university always pays the bills in any country.
Being a native Spanish speaker is a big plus for any foreigner in finding work.
Good luck! |
