My family are young and adventurous 2 & 5 (boys). Ideally I would like an hotel with air conditioning on the beachfront. Again, ideally a small friendly, welcoming, family hotel (totally spanish), with good food and central. Any part of coastal Spain would do - but must be small, traditional and appealing.

For a small,basic friendly hotel,you can't beat The Hotel Miami in Tossa De Mar on the Costa Brava, as I say though it is basic.the food is good,it's about 10 mins walk from the beach.The town itself is really nice.The hotel is in the Thomsons small and friendly brochure,as I say,it must be O.K., wev'e been back about 5 times over the years,wherever you decide to go; have a good holiday! |

If you don’t have any luck with the other suggestions, check out ApartaHotels. They’re an apartment in a hotel block. So you can cook your own meals, but also have hotel services. Sounds pretty good for a family holiday.
Here are 2 in Malaga, Andalucia. (South Spain) but sure you can find more if you do a search on “Apartahotel” + any other part of Spain you’re looking for.
