Everyone has to eat. What can you afford in the way of food? Are you a good cook? Maybe even a simple ice cream cone makes people feel good.

Nourish the friend's body first and then the soul will be more apt to accept your kindness. Then make some decorations, ask everyone else who also cares about this person to donate something too, could turn out to be something very memorable for you all.

A great big hug always works.

How about just a day off, head to the beach, go for a walk or a hike somewhere, and be a good listener?

Best of luck.

Smile and think of life as a gift given to specail people of whom you are one. Try to live your life as simple as you can afford. Do not dream of things you can't achieve, that might depress you when you realize that it's way far from being gotten. I guess the secret of being content is being satisfied with who you are and what you can get. Maybe this sounds too much of a philosophy, but to a point it can be true and will benefit you. Just relax and cheer up, life ain't so bad at all.
