Hello Carole
I have sold these apts previously on very cheap deals before I retired from being a travel agent last year.

They are very basic apts and quite typical of the less expensive self catering properties in Benidorm.

Please check to see if there is any building work- there definitley was a couple of months ago and it could clearly be seen from some of the apartments.

And again here for another 4

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187525-d595217-Reviews-Playamar_Apartments-Benidorm_Costa_Blanca_Valencian_Country.html

Some apts have a distant sea view- especially the higher ones but the surrounding area could be better- it's wasteland and gets dark at night as the area is not particularly well-lit so best not to be out alone after dark.

The pool is small, so might be quite cramped in high season.

If you get this really really cheap, and you're not looking for luxury then it's worth a go, but if I am completely honest, I would definitley not stay there myself- there are other properties in Benidorm which are better located and much nicer.

In my experience, somewhere like the Terralta apts come up at a reasonable price and they are very nice- quietr location, but the standards are higher.
Reviews are here for Terralta

Gemelos XXll are also worth looking at- reviews are here

As for location- in my opinion, you can't beat The Torremar- in Levante and good value- reviews are here..

At the end of the day, you do get what you pay for, and honestly it really is worth paying just a little more for that little bit more comfort.

Whatever you decide, I really hope it goes well for you- have a great holiday!

All the very best of luck!

I stayed in these apartments last time I was in Benidorm. Mind, this was 13 years ago! The apartments were awful, we actually moved after the first week. They were actually on the front page of a newspaper when we got back, calling them 'the zoo'! Having said all this, I would have thought something would have been done about them by now.
