Planning a trip to Spain?

My friend and I are 24-25 years old single men this summer were planning to go to Spain. We do not know where to start. We are both single and love Spanish women(our goal is to marry one) more than anything else. Were history buffs and he is an artist and I am an engineering student so any place you know of we will most likely love it. But our main goal is to see the natives, eat, drink and party with them. Ibizia was our first option, we want to be by the beach..My friend is fluent in Spainish I am not but can get by..I need your help?

If you want to meet the natives then avoid Ibiza - full of people from everhwere except Spain: Germans, Sweeds, Brits....

Go to Madrid - it has it all... everything you want. Night life, good food and museums & parks.
Beach? Go to the area of Cadiz.

Madrid or Barcelona are the best bets to meet normal people. But not in August when all the locals have left for the beaches. Then Ibiza is better.
In Madrid. Visit the art galleries. The ladies love art. I should know, I've been dragged around the galleries lots of times.
In Barcelona, they haunt the Picasso museum.

Yes, Ibiza is a resort full of foreigners. For first timers I suggest Madrid (the best party in the world, be sure to be there on a Saturday night) Then I would take the AVE train to Seville and explore Andalusia -- Cordoba, Granada, Malaga. Rent a car. If you stick to the beach you are missing 98% of Spain --

More Spaniards in the beaches in the North (San Sebastian, Santander) Also great Mountains in the North -- Picos de Europa. Costa del Sol, Benidorm full of Brits, Germans etc.

For your artist friend: Santander for the caves of Altimira, Toledo for the El Greco paintings, Madrid for El Prado museum. For everyone else Barcelona.

WOW! If you're looking for someone to marry...I suggest finding some way that is longer than a week or two on vacation. Ibiza would be the LAST place I'd look for that...I'd have to agree with those above, full of foreigners. Sounds like the north coast is the place to meet natives. I'm gonna rebut the idea of going to the Prado to meet local women, also, because the place is also so full of foreigners, that you won't be likely to meet any natives. Not to nix going, though, it's an incredible experience for the artist in you.

Personally, I think finding some way to spend more time...spend a semester or a year with school, get an exchange job. There has to be a need for experienced engineers, and there are great engineering schools (I'm sure there's a way to figure out which is best). You're much more likely to forge a more permanent relationship. When I was a student there, I think I was the only woman who left NOT engaged. (of course, I only know of one out of hundreds who actually married her novio).

Hi,

Costa del sol, Costa Daurada, Benidorm, Barcelona, Alicante, Majorca are the best destinations to visit in summer. Ibiza is also a good dstination to visit if you love to enjoy nightlife.
