Please give me some good hiding places ?

Im going on holiday (abroad) soon and i've been reading reviews about the hotel and apparently the rooms are being "broken into" people are suspecting it is the staff or doors left open. The only way it is safe is to buy a safe which is quite expensive. Have you got any unusual hiding spaces to hide valuable items or any ideas how to keep my items safe?

(Don't say change Hotel because it is too late now and im going with friends parents.)

Isn't there a safe in the room? You put your most valuable stuff in the inroom safe...they only cost a euro every time you close them.

And, as others have said, you don't bring anything too valuable. No one is likely to be able to get into your room while you are sleeping...someone said to sleep with them...that's not your issue.

Is there some reason that you need your gazillion dollar royalty necklaces? Of course not...just don't bring them.

And as for your passport, that should be on your person, anyway, and your money? don't carry or even bring a lot of cash. Get it as you need it from cash machines and use your credit/debit/ATM cards. Know how to use them the best way. They, too, should be on your person, and safe from pickpockets.

Are you talking jewelry?
Don't bring your valuable jewelry only bring costume jewelry.

Other options call the hotel and see if the rooms have room safes or put combination locks on your suitcases when you leave them in the room.

try not to bring anything valuable.
keep it really simple.
and if you do bring something valuable, then you should take it with you everywhere you go.

but, i would definitely let the parents no because that is not cool, yo!!

I hide valuables under the driver or passenger seat of the rent-a-car. Make the car look empty so nobody will bother to break into it.
When I worked at a hotel, people would ask the front desk to to put their expensive jewelry in a safe in our back office, but the hotel I worked at did it for no charge. I think we had a good system going.
Hopefully you'll get lucky with a car that has an alarm system.

Just keep your most expensive things on you while you sleep. Don't leave them in the hotel. If you take them with you but can't carry them, lock them in the trunk of the car where they can't be seen. Also, purchase traveler's insurance, in case you do have something lost or stolen.

I usually hide my valuable things inside my converse. Sometimes i also keep them between my two beds. Usually money, bills.
