Do you Flaneo, it's a French tour operatour which organize some travels in Tenerife http://www.flaneo.com They'll probably speak French
The weather is nice all year long, if you go in January you should go in the south of Tenerife http://www.flaneo.com/sejour.do?searchCriteria.paysDeparts.itemChoisi.id=PAR&searchCriteria.paysDestinations.itemChoisi.id=TCI&searchCriteria.dateDepart.id=07%2F02%2F2009&searchCriteria.dateDepart.id=11%2F10%2F2008&searchCriteria.dateDepart.tolDay=2&searchCriteria.dateRetour.id=14%2F02%2F2009&searchCriteria.dateRetour.id=14%2F02%2F2009&searchCriteria.dateRetour.tolDay=2&searchCriteria.themes.itemChoisi.id=-1&searchCriteria.prixMax.id=0&searchCriteria.prixMin.id=0&message=new&searchCriteria.moteur=false&villeDep=-+PARIS&villeDest=+-+TENERIFE
You should contact Flaneo for more informations. |

Yes weather is between 70-75 avg
porta del a cruz nice front great view of the mountain but it could get cloudy.Los cristenos lots of trips to book from here nice beach not to crowded.
The south is hotter than the north try a island tour and learn about tenirife.Santa cruz is the capital and a must for shopping.
Me i would go to playa americas at this time of year its a lot quieter in the winter the kids will have plenty to keep them busy and by now all the beach front repairs will be done |

Mr Red has good advice. The weather should be nice and warm in February, it was last year. Los Cristianos is probably the resort with the least amount of lager louts at that time of year and it's in the south of the island.
The place is very hilly and all the hotels accommodating package holidays are up in the hills. Easy walking down but a struggle walking home at night. Ask before you book if your hotel is near sea level.
It's an all year round resort so nowhere will be closed and the teenagers will have lots to do. |

Hi, if you are planning a holiday to Tenerife then have a look at http://www.tenerifeforum.com it covers every topic you can think of!
Here is a link I found after doing a search for what the weather is like in Tenerife in February:

I'm just back from spending a year in Tenerife.
1: The weather in feb should be good, i'd say between 18-22.c
2: Los Cristianos, which is about 10 mins drive from Las Americas is v.nice, not too crowded or tacky, alot mor 'spanish' than it's neighbour. Pretty much everything should be open inc, the zoo (cant remember name!) and the new 'siam park' water park which is 5 mins drive from Los Cristianos.
Enjoy your holiday! ;-) |

The southern resort areas of Tenerife will be nice and warm in February although in the later evenings you might find you need a cardigan or light jacket this is due to the slightly wider gap between day time and night time temperatures during the winter months.
Having two teenagers is the key to where you should go.
Los Cristianos is a good bet although some the hotels / apartments can be a long way back from the sea front, a few hotels provide a free bus service and there is a good inexpensive Taxi service.
Play las Americas is a purpose built resort area which sometimes gets a bad press, the Americas covers a large area and I suggest you look at the resorts of San Eugenio, Porto Colon, Playa Fanabe, Torviscas, Playa Adeje, the other is Del Duque but this mainly top end hotels as a result prices at this end of the resort tend to be slightly higher.
The main area to avoid in the Americas is called Veronicas, this is the main area for night clubs and if there is a problem this is generally where it occours.
Other areas you could look at are further up the coast Playa Arena or Porto Santiago, the next resort is a personal favourite Los Gigantes its very hilly and possibly it would suit you but may be not your children, if you visit the town take some bread with you to feed the fish in the harbour some are really big, lots of food and no fishing allowed, look out for the turtle the story is that one has been living in the harbour for years (I've been going there for nearly 20 years and I've never seen it).
Areas I think you should avoid because they are either mainly resdential, under developed or lack a good beach are Costa del Silencio, Ten Bell, Las Galletes, Palm Mar, Callao Salvaje or Playa Parisio.
Many of the atractions around the area provide a free bus service with pick up points around the resorts.
I hope this has been some help to you, have a good holiday. |

Feb should be reasonably warm but not sunbathing weather but personally I wouldn't take kids to tenerife because although it was july when i was there it is non stop noise and sex in las americas and los Christiano's which is the continuation of las americas is mainly for pensioners, no matter what time of the year you go it will always be busy. I have been to all parts of spain and found tenerife doesn't have the spanish atmosphere, the north is cloudier than the south, prices have went up a lot since last year, the average meal out with wine for 2 is about 50euro. |
