Great Question! I just booked from Chicago to Madrid so it better be nice! Your flight will be so short (2 hours?) That you should be fine.

I lived in Spain for three years and have traveled with them alot throught Europe and over to the States. The planes are mostly newer and the staff are average to sour in their attitude.
They usually don't speak English very well but you will survive. Almost certainly you will observe the stewardesses smoking in the gallies and lavatories even though it is prohibited by law. I hope you don't mind the smell of smoke.
I don't believe you have another choice, Iberia is the only carrier servicing Morocco from Madrid for now. From 22 February Easy Jet will have service from MAD to RACK and they will surely be cheaper than Iberia. |

i flew from Amsterdam to Madrid on Iberia.
I found the attendents polite and welcoming. it was only a two hour flight and i slept for the majority of it. the only problem i had was that the food and drink etc was expensive.
comfortable plane tho :) |

Iberia airlines have started a month ago in my homeland (Gibraltar). They fly from Madrid to Gibraltar and vice versa, I have not been in the flights yet but my friends have and their experience has been positive. |

Where possible Iberia are best avoided IMO. Service is next to non existent. T4 at Madrid is difficult to get to from the city (Metro then bus or an expensive cab ride). Madrid has the fourth highest percentage of flight delays in europe. 19.4%.
Unfortunately flying to N africa from Madrid there are few viable alternatives. RAM (Royal Air Maroc) is probably the only airline worth considering on the route although their fares tend to be more expensive. |

First and only time I flew Iberia was to Greece, the flight attendant were rude, and not very helpful. |

Well, here was my experience with Iberia. I was waiting to take a plan from Madrid back to New York, where I would catch a connecting flight to my hometown--Denver. There was a problem with the plane (I believe something with the engine), so they told us it would be delayed. Fine. About 4 hours later, they still hadn't fixed the problem. We were delayed nearly 6 hours, at which point I knew I had missed my connecting flight. The next flight I could catch in New York was the NEXT morning. I had even asked Iberia for help with finding a new connecting flight, and they told me there was nothing they could do. NOTHING--no help, no refunds, no money to stay in a hotel--NOTHING. Luckily, I had an uncle who lived in New Jersey and was able to pick me up from the airport and let me stay at his house for a night until I could head back to the airport the next morning.
Haha. So I don't speak highly of Iberia, but then again, that's only one experience. You might have the best experience of your life flying with them. Either way, have fun in Madrid and Marrakech. It's beautiful and so much fun in Spain! |

I took round-trip flight from Chicago to Madrid. The experience was so-so. Several of the flight attendents I encountered were quite rude. The food was terrible (big suprise there). And the seats seemed especially cramped (compared to flights I've taken with several other airlines). On the upside, check in was very smooth. And even though my flight was so very long, time passed rather quickly. All you need is a great flight kit. I took with me a silk eye-mask, my ipod, a nice neck pillow, and a good book. So, as an airline, I would say it is somewhat lacking, but not too terrible. Besides feeling a little cramped and unsatisfied for a few hours is nothing compared to the feeling you have when you finally arrive at your wonderful destination! |
