Una Sirena en el Lago Oscuro

Rick Steves or Fodors?

Buenas tardes,

I've always wanted to go to Spain and I'm planning to go later this year.

It occurred to me that I'm gonna need a guide book. I went to Borders to peruse the travel section, and I can't decide between Fodor's and Rick Steves's guides. Of course I looked at the books, but I've never been to Spain before and I can't decide which guide I should get.

I've been to Mexico, however, and in my opinion Lonely Planet is full of you-know-what (no offense to anyone).

I already speak Spanish, but I imagine I'll need to know a little Catalán since I'll be in Barcelona a lot.

Thanks if you can help.
Additional Details
Cuernavaca is really beautiful. I lived there for a year. Lo pasé de maravilla.

We've alway's used the "loney planet" guides... but I've never been to Méjico... or bought a travel guide for my own country xD

But online I'm sure there are MANY MANY free articles...
also, look on Amazon.com (I know the French version you can Review things) So maybe you can on the U.S.A ??

Type the name of the book's in, and then read the users personal reviews on the book.

The best city guides are issued by 'Time Out'.

Lonely Planet is good on way out places in Andalucia but that's all.
I have most guide books on Spain (Old editions- they are cheaper!) and I think that a good search on the internet is better than any of them.
