Salou Or Lloret de Mar?

Been to Lloret first two weeks in October and enjoyed it but we are older and probebly Salou would be better for your age group. Think there would be more night life to suit.

Salou has Port Aventura which is fun for a day.
The mountains are fun with a car (Prades, Montblanc area).

A trip by train to Barcelona is a must but LLoret is nearer.

I like both and have visitied both - Salou is perhaps the bigger of the two - however it does seem more geared to families - Lloret has more choice for adult-geared nightlife.

depends on your thing really and what your looking for, if your the clubbing all night long type and love loads of brits then either would do , if that isnt your thing , then neither....
Unless things have changed from about ten years ago they didnt like the english very much for that reason and tend to assume everyone was the same they wouldnt let us leave the club trying to get us to pay extra even though it was free in ...as we hadn t spent enough in the bar i was fluent in spanish then and the things they were saying werent funny...this was lloret de mar by the way all i knw about Salou is its a pretty common destination for brits and party goers...if you like peace and quite again neither , saying that i only visited lloret for the night , wouldnt go back for the reasons explained if your with good company im sure you ll have a great time either way , hope this is a tiny bit of use..

Look at the reviews and compare the 2 resorts. You'll see there's a lot more complaints about Lloret then Salou

i think both are horrible places...a lot of tall buildings by the sea, without nature, without palces to visit and bad beaches and thousands of stupid tourist(tipical tourist doesn't care about the country- he can do the same in his country that in his holidays) ...the only "good thing" maybe is his night life, with a lot of clubs...but i think there are a lot of places in spain with a better night life(like ibiza, san xenxo, also a brilliant place is "a coruĆ±a") where you can discover the real spain
travel to spain to visit salou or lloret is not travel to spain....i recomend you a coruĆ±a...with a lot of clubs and parties and places to visit..for example

depends on your thing really and what your looking for. For me is better salou because itĀ´s a little quite but if you are looking for parrty and taste the night and disco is better lloret the mar. There are in tarragona and Girona diferents region of spain
