Sending a letter to Spain, how long will it take to get there? |
going to Navarra, Spain.
sending a regular sized letter the cheapest way (First-Class Mail® International Letter) through USPS. its costs .94 cents - the next option up is $11.94! $11.94 takes 6-10 days but for mine it says "varies" for how long it will take.
ANYONE who has sent a letter to Spain this way, how long did it take?
I am aware that it might take 14 days it might take a month so none of those kind of answers, please.
I am looking for someone who has sent a letter TO SPAIN using USPS "First-Class Mail® International Letter". Ideally someone who has sent multiple letters to Spain who could tell me what was the longest/shortest time it took.

It usually takes about a week, 10 days. It will arrive. I buy stuff on the internet form the US to Spain and it takes as much as up to 15 days.
And I hate Sue.

A standard letter with 94 cents stamps, will automatically go to Spain by air maiI. It will take 5 days to be delivered. |

Someone sent me an insured item from Florida to Spain on the 10th July. It is track & trace. It hasn't arrived yet but it is on it's way we have been informed.
I have to ask, is this normal with mail from the States as I can receive mail from the UK within three days. |

I received a letter in Spain last week from the states via the same method as you have sent yours. It took 12 days to arrive which I thought was quite good considering I thought it would take longer.
Perhaps not the answer you were wanting but it may give you an idea. |

You're sending a letter SURFACE mail? about two months!
The next option cannot POSSIBLY be 11.94!!! And Air mail only takes about five days. Air Mail should only be about $2.00! Did you ASK at the Post Office? I'm sure you could have done this better! (or re mail a copy of it).
I could be wrong, but my surface packages took 9 weeks from Barcelona to Colorado, so I would expect close to the same going East
*Edit* YOU said you had sent it ""First Class" that means Surface. If you sent it "Air mail," then they should have said so at the post office. Surface mail takes about two months. They send letters and parcels on the same ships.
What I said, was that ordinary Air Mail does NOT cost $12! And First Class is not Air Mail. An "ordinary" letter goes surface.

You know because if it's going by Air, you paid for Air Mail. That's how you know. |
