Sevilla, Anadalusia, Spain???

My last name is Sevilla. I understand that it's a city, and capital in Anadalusia, Spain. I was wondering what the actual name "Sevilla" means?

the meaning of the name is not clear, there are some hyphotesis or legends:

-romans called Hispalis because its old citizens (tribe of turdetanos or tartessos) called Ispal

-there is also the legend about Sevilla was founded by Hercules and gave it to his son Hispalo [truth is it was founded (as a city, there were some villages already)by a phoenician merchant)

-and other meaning of Hispalis is fence/wall

by the way, LL in spanish is spoken like Y, sounds like seviya

The Romans called it "Hispalis" but in the year 712 the Arabs called it "Isbilya", which is from its actual name comes from.
