You can get m&ms, skittles and starburst in spain. You can also buy mars bars, twix, kitkats, all of the main chocolate bars. You can buy hundreds of different kinds of sweets and chewing gum and all sorts of sweet chocolate things.

if you are going to bring sweets as a present, i would try to think of something else because there are so many sweets available to buy here.

edit - they sell plain, peanut, crispy and some other m&ms in all different colours. they sell about 6 different types of skittles in all colours. I don't know who is giving you your info, but it;s wrong!

it's really not that bad - I've found that you can find most candy bars around and if you can't you will definitely be able to find them in American and British food stores.

WHAT??? Why not? Or is it only that MM/Mars doesn't market to Spain.

I am pretty sure we saw m&m, there, though. And Skittles. In Barcelona. They have these candy stores, like the ones where you buy bulk candy in the malls, all over the place. I'm pretty sure I saw MM products there.

*edit* Ahhh, if you are looking for something to bring as a gift, bring something that is boutique. Small shop, like chocolates from Fanny Farmer or Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, or locally produced honey, (especially if it has flavors, or is made from all one type of flower - they have clover honey, there). Or local wine (if you're old enough) or ANYTHING that's made locally. If THAT was what you were looking for.

you can get all of those in Spain, in all the shops, even the BIG bags and they come in all the same colours as they do everywhere else, red, green, blue, yellow, brown etc.... i dont think there is anything anywhere else that we cant get in Spain? we dont have Hershey bars here, eerrr??? we have Snickers (what you call a Marathon Bar, or used to call a few years back when i was in America) so dont confuse that. we gets Chips Ahoy, Oreos, Mars company chocolates, Nestles company chocolates, Cadburys company's Chocolates....
