Spain doesn't hate blacks, and they have an number of people of African descent, even citizenship, on their fútbol teams. Check out the roster for the Barça team.
Spain has a general problem with illegal African immigrants. They are seen as the root of many ills. They often live on the commuter trains, never paying rent, sell bootleg products illegally, and are annoying in tourist areas, and are seen as criminals, pickpockets, and thieves, causing all sorts of ills, abusing the system...Hmmmm....sounds kind of like the way Mexicans are often viewed in the US. curious, isn't it?
Your father sounds like a bigot. He clearly has never been to Spain, or he would know that Spaniards are Europeans, not Native Americans. Their culture is the root of all things Hispanic, but that doesn't make them Mexicans...other way around, actually.
As for speaking English...they don't really do so well in Germany either...See, English isn't one of the official languages there...either country...why should anyone speak HIS language, to make things easier for HIM? Actually, it's one of the beautiful things about Spain (and Germany, too. That they don't speak English). And who is HE to decide what is white and what is black?
I think that the Spaniards would treat him pretty poorly, if he came to the country with that attitude.
I am American, and if he came to MY town with that attitude, I think *I* would treat him pretty poorly, too. No one should bow down to anyone...Oooooh! I could go on and on, but I'll stop, because responding is only giving you credence!

We, the Spaniards, don't hate black people, that's a stupidity.
And that player you reefer I think is Ronaldinho, he is an idol between Barça's supporters. And nobody hates him.
Yes, most Spaniards don't speak English, and what? they don't need it. Can you speak Spanish? Probably not, and are you stupid because of that? No, yo aren't. So Spaniards are not stupid for no speaking English.
And, racially, Spaniards are not in the group of the Mexicans, who come from the Aztecs. Spaniards are in the group of southern-Europeans, just like Portugueses, Italians, Maltheses and southern-Frenchs. They're a mix of Celtics, original Iberians ( who were white ), Romanos, Nordics, Jewishes and Arabs. Nothing to do with Aztecs.
Mexicans speaks Spanish only because America was invaded by Spain and belonged to Spanish Empire for more than three centurys.
Your father is very weak in History. And he seems to be a xenophobic ( and an ignorant too ).
And responding to your question, Spaniards generally like American people and American culture ( particularly cinema). Well, there is a very unpopular American citizen, called George W. Bush, but that isn't a problem because nobody will mind in 21 days!
Spain ( as the rest of Europe ) is by now enthusiasted about Obama.
And no, we don't hate African-Americansans or any black person!
