Spain for older adults?

Where would recommend for 7 days in Spain, for a 55+ couple? We prefer somewhere away from the 20-something party crowd.
Historical sites would be nice.

You can avoid the paryting crowd in almost any city.

If you want historic, there's always Madrid. Barcelona, if you avoid staying on the Ramblas, or near the party areas. stay away from the beach at night.

Sevilla is my personal favorite, but that's partly because I know the history, and love it so much.

Granada, and Ronda a beautiful! If you are interested in bike tours, I know there are quite a few through the area around Ronda. In fact, you could just hang out in the Pueblos Blancos area, and stay happy, there.

Areas in the center and North: La Mancha, Toledo, Segovia...not so much about partying. I imagine you would like San Sebastián or Santander...I don't know them, myself, but I've heard nice things. (I like to give equal time to the North, which is pretty underrated from what I hear, even though I've not spent much time there, myself).

Granada is a historical city. It has got the alhambra.
The alhambra tried in 2007 to be a one of the 7 wonders.
I'm from Granada, and the alhambra is a very good place to go. It's got a lot of very beautiful gardens and things typical of the Andalusian culture by Arabs centuries ago, also lived in the Alhambra Catholic kings of spain, including "Juana la loca." Made with large Arab influences, and that was before Al-Àndalus Andalucia, and ruled the Arabs, that centuries ago.

Sorry, but not mastered English well, I am Spanish and I live in spain

Nerja on the Costa Del Sol is just right for what you are looking for. I live nearby and it is a beautiful town by the sea. There is wonderful scenery all round. Granada is an hour away with all it's history.

If you want to get away from young pple getting drunk at night, try to avoid touristic areas on the coast, where bunches of English, German, Dutch young pple go to get drunk at cheap price. There are several places that you could visit in 7 days, the north of Spain (Basc country and Galicia) are really nice but that would mean changing of place every day. In my opinion Barcelona could be a nice option, because you can spend 3 or 4 days visiting the city and the rest up to the seven days doing excursions in the surrounding areas both by train or car. By train you can go to Girona, or Tarragona or to one of the many towns on the coast. By car you can go to the pyrinees area (3 h by car)

Avoid Places like Ibiza, Benidorm, or any other big cities in Catalunya or Valencia. I recommend you Andalacia. Its beautiful, a lot of history, theyre very friendly and usually its mostly sunny. Seville is one of my favorite places and if you have time visit Marbella. Madrid will not be too busy in summer and Toledo is no more than 50 min away by car. Visit also Segovia and Salamanca.
Oh, and just one more thing: it will get pretty warm during the day, and usually nothing is open around 3 or 4 pm but restaurants.
Have a wonderful time!
