In an address in spain, there is a degree sign after it, for example: av alvarez guerra 20 2 degrees. what does this mean? does it mean that the address is an apartment? |

Yep, it's an apartment. The degree sign after a 2 means "segundo" (second) or after a 3 means "tercero" (third). This refers to the floor of the building that the apartment is on.
One interesting thing to note is that ground floor in Spain (and several other countries I've been to) is not considered the first floor like it is in the U.S. Instead is is the ground floor or lower floor and the first floor is the next flight up (what we in the U.S. would call the 2nd floor). So, this person lives on the 2nd floor, or if you are from the U.S., it's what we would consider the 3rd floor.
