Weather is getting a bit unreliable even in the far South. Have had rain, rain and rain in early April, but saw some bikini's on the beach on New Year's Day for the traditional dip. Take your bikini, shorts and other summer dresses and don't forget a gardigan or similar for the evenings. |

Benalmadena is just outside Malaga and I lived in Velez Malaga for 5 years. The weather at the time you mention is changeable. You may be lucky and the wet weather has finished, as it usually rains heavily from December to March, like the U.K. but with more sunny days in between. If your lucky it may be hotter and sunnier than typical June weather in the U.K. However one thing you can depend on is that it will be quite, actually- very, cold in the evening and night-time. Spaniards will be wearing coats, hats, gloves during the days, British- their shorts :), but at nigh-time EVERYONE will be well wrapped up.
I personally have sunbathed at Benalmadena in March, and swam in the sea, but the time you are going is still considered to be winter by the Spanish so public swimming pools (Piscina's) holiday attractions, beach activities etc will be closed.
