Spending money for 1 week in palma nova majorca...how much?

I am going on holiday with 2 of my best friends next thursday for a week to Palma nova, majorca.
i am trying to work out how much spending money to take with me in GBP.
our apartment package does NOT incluse food, so we will be eating out at lunch and evening times, and relaxing around the pool or on the beach during the day. in the evening we plan to visit a few bars.
I am a youthful 24 year old, and would love any suggestions on how much to take with me.
TTC £500 - are you mad??? That's enough for me to live for a month in Britain, surely the £ is not so bad that it will cost 4 times as much to survive on holiday without bills to pay other than food and chilling???
We'll prob take about £300 - and that's for two of us!!!!

i would say £400-£500 would be plenty. is best to exchange your money on the street in palma nova rather than from your travel agent over here. just take some euros to get you to your resort. if you want to prebook and save some money on the taxi from the air port, go to resorthoppa.com you can book a return trip to the airport for £15 which is a lot less considering a taxi would be €40!! have a good time im going to magaluf on sunday 21st. cant wait! lets hope the sun shines for us!

There are good WOK places that do an all you can eat for 9 euro at lunch or dinner time. Full english breakfast run about 9 euro with coffee. and say 5 euro for deck chair rental. After that it all drink money. say 10 drinks a day at 3 euro each.
So 23 for grub and 30 for drink makes 53 a day, about 371 for a week. But that would be slumming it so take at least 500 Euro to cover all the other incidentals, but 600 would be better.
