Can anyone suggest a decent bar/club to go to in Barcelona for New Years Eve? I don't want anything pretentious, just somewhere to have a drink, dance and good time! I like dance/house/funky music and also don't mind the commercial stuff... |

You will not get into a bar/restaurant in the centre of Barcelona unless you have booked well in advance. Go off into the sidestreets and you may have a chance. Try and eat before the fun begins and make life a little easier for yourself. From about 9pm onwards there will be queues outside every bar etc. As people leave (if at all ) then others are allowed in. The Spanish love NYE as much as we do ...if not more. |

Barcelona is a great city-head to Las Ramblas-that's where alot of bars and restraunts etc are. |

Put on red undies, for good luck ( its true!) get twelve grapes and a bottle of cava, get to the big square at the top of las Ramblas, thats where to celebrate the NY, all the people will be out on the streets, pop one grape into your mouth as each bell strike is heard, and wash them down with cava....thats how we spend NYE in Spain |
