TORREVIEJA anyoned visited?
Hi im going to torrevieja, alicante in 2 weeks time.. can ye please give me some tips on the place
and also,
im staying just behing the park of nations is this a good spot whats around?
Hi, I am sure you will have a good time in Torrevieja providing you don't expect it to be like marbella. Its a working town, a little tatty around the edges with its fair share of graffiti but I think it has a lot going for it. The town itself is very Spanish with lots of good restaurants, bars and shops. You will be able to walk to the centre and the local beaches. If you drive just a little way up the coast towards Alicante you will find some of the best beaches in Spain and it lives up to its name (Costa Blanca) with it white sands. The area is very popular with northern Europeans including Brits who live in the urbanisations around the town and I see nothing wrong with that. No different to any towns or cities in Britain which are full of so called Ghettos, who cares, they are all normal people just trying to get by. Have a look on the tourist info site www.torrevieja.com to find out whats on as I am sure there will be plenty of things to see and do if that's what you want. You may just want to lay on a beach all day.
The only word of caution I would give is to ask you to be on your guard against thieves who make a bee line for tourists who they know are easily distracted and too layed back. This applies to anywhere in the world and not just Torrevieja. Have a good holiday.
