Teach English in Spain?

I've read that this is super difficult (nearly impossible, I know) for a US citizen with no European roots (ie, me) to do legally.

However, the key word is NEARLY.

I would like to know if anyone knows what the options are for a US citizen who speaks virtually perfect Spanish and would like to legally teach EFL over there?

Latin America would be really nice too.

Of COURSE I've done research but it would mean a lot to hear from someone who might have helpful information for me.

I lived in Mexico and, despite the crap you hear on the news (it's really distorted) long to go back; however, I'm going to Spain later, to study, and I'm scared I'm gonna fall in love with that place.

Like I said, the key word is "nearly." If it's nearly impossible, it's not completely impossible. I'm not gonna do anything illegal but I'm not gonna give up either.
