It depends what you call interesting really. If you like bars/night clubs/beer/fish and chips/ all day english breakfasts and loads of british lager louts....then you find it very interesting....

Robin hood has been there for years just at the end of the Medeteranio and the start of the old town next to MacDonald's its a restaurant and serves British food ,Benidorm started off as a small fishing village and has expanded over the years if your young or old it caters for all buzzing fairs markets shops pubs thousands restaurants thousands all cuisines Pizza Huts chippy's tea rooms you name it the night life is great and the clubs and discos are plenty full very hot in summer and busy you will never get boa red make sure you have some where to go and stay and try not to burn the candles at both ends or you will end up sick skint and come home with your tail between your legs?take it easy and enjoy the place when you arrive you will meet people and get acquainted to the place enjoy and take care

Benidorm is a city in the Comunidad Valenciana. Alicante City is also in the Comunidad Valenciana.

Benidorm has possibly has the nicest beaches in all of Spain. Errr.. Did I say Benidorm was in Spain??!! Hehehe..

Be forewarned that you'll hardly know you're in Spain by visiting Benidorm - particularly in the summer when the visitor population outweighs the local population by 10:1. Most are English and Germans and other Europeans. There are probably more English pubs in Benidorm than anywhere else in Spain and even has a surprisingly (or not) high British population.

The Benidorm Beaches, while the best, will be crowded beyond comprehension. There are always reports of people going down to the beach at 8am (or earlier) attempting to stake-the-claim to beach real estate before the rest of the sunbathers arrive. The police won't let this happen too early, though.

You might do much better going down the coast just a little to Alicante City. It's much more "Spanish" (by comparison), larger, nicer, and the beaches are very good too.

Hope your boyfriend already has made the hotel reservations in Benidorm. Most are booked more than 6 months in advance.

Is there anything "Interesting" in Benidorm, you ask? Hmmm... Let me think.. Still thinking... Just a moment... oh yes, there's a Theme Park near Benidorm called "Terra Mitica" (web: http://www.terramiticapark.com/ ). Benidorm City has a nice "point" called the Placa del Castell. At the point of that you have the Mirador de Benidorm, overlooking the Mediterranean and the distant Benidorm Island.

The small Old Town is somewhat nice too. As you walk, you'll see menu and sign boards outside of bars and restaurants - almost exclusively in English.

Have a great time in Benidorm but prepare your psyche for HUGE, Disneyland-like crowds everywhere you go.

The pub. Don't go there.
