There might be thunderstorms on the coast on the Mediterranean.

Thunder storms here are the same as the UK, and at the moment we are on red alert in some parts of the mainland especially in the north as flooding is really bad. However, here in Benidorm they said this week would be really bad for rain, but it has been showery. Really, the world is going crazy, June here usually is very warm and soe of us are wondering if it ever will improve. I'm getting to think it's like living in the UK!! LOL
Canaries are usually much warmer Oct/Nov than we on the mainland so good luck.
Check out www.wunderground.com and forecast the date nearer your departure and it will tell you

I live in the Canaries (Tenerife) I have been here 10 years, we have had very few thunderstorms in that time (3 I think) The weather in October and November is lovely, not unbearably hot, definately not cold it is usually around the mid 70s

Hi, Spain and the Canaries are about a thousand miles apart, a long way weather wise.
It is therefore very different, especialy in October.
Lanzarote my area, weather average 26 degrees, mostly sunshine. Never experienced lightning and only thunder once. Rain, if any (very rare)..... tends to be short and heavy.

I went to Tenerife one year in Nov, and the rain was that bad, it flooded Las Americas town centre.!
On saying that, if you want some sun, the canaries are the place to go in winter.

the last 2 years ive been going to santa ponsa in majorca in aug it has a few thunder storms at night and lots of rain but its great as it makes it a lot hotter in the morning and the lightning storms are great to watch
