I realize that getting cheap airfare is one thing, but getting the best deal possible is another.
Please answer if you can help me, because I've already heard from my share of naysayers who say just to give up my dream of going to Spain, I've wanted to go all my life and have my heart set on it.
If you can really help me I will be so, so very thankful.
I've always dreamt of going to Spain, and I have planned to go this spring, at the end of April, to study. I work full-time, I'm saving my money and I've arranged to get time off from work.
The problem of course is airfare. I've already begun searching for flights and researching deals (SoYouWanna.com is a good site, btw), but I would like to hear from anyone who can give me tips or advice on how to get the best deal possible.
If I am planning on going at the end of April, and the beginning of May, when is the best time to BUY the ticket?
Is it always possible to change dates?
Is it better to buy the ticket through a travel agent?
Any other tips, or advice?

Okay, FIRST: WHERE to get the ticket. It doesn't matter. It will pretty much cost you the same amount, no matter how you go. If the newspaper says it's $600/RT, there are surcharges, taxes, and extra fees that add up to about the same. Figure roughly $1100. You might pay a bit more or less, but it isn't really worth it to spend too much time searching. Check the ads in the paper, call the agents, and the settle on a method, but I promise, it won't be too different, no matter where you go. Iberia is STILL the nicest airline. They were so nice to us! We returned on AA. Stay away from them if you can.
Second: WHY are you leaving at the end of April???? You want to spend all of April THERE!!!! Best time to see everything. Prettiest month of the Year. Not too hot in the south. You can play at the Feria in Sevilla, and probably catch Semana Santa.
Save your pennies now, and have them while you are there. You will not regret it. But the thing about the flight is that it all washes out the same. |

Imported is the country of departure, and that you did´nt tell. Second the airport of departure, third the airport of arrival you would like.
go to www.aena.es. this is the page of the Spanish airport company. from there you can look up all airports in Spain with the connections. That´s the best I can tell you because of lack of information from your side. Of course during vaccation season the prices are much higher than off vaccations. |

You don't mention where you live. I live in Spain and can't advise you on anything unless you say where you are starting your holiday from.
You will love Spain. It is a beautiful diverse country, irrespective whether you go to the north or the south.
