Travel Column?

I have an english exam about Madrid, Spain and I need to write a travel column. However, I've never been to Europe.

Can you please write about your experience in Madrid? How did you communicate? What were memorable some restaurants, places or/and hotels? Was the enviroment nice? How did everything look like? Was it a expensive trip? In the end, was your trip worth it?

Thank you for all those who asnwer. ^_^

Madrid is a beautiful city, very cosmopolitan with a lot of people and variety. I communicated through Spanish, in Madrid it is not assumed that you know english but is spoken in the more high end places. The environment was very nice, especially in Retiro Park. Prado and La Reina Sofia museum are both amazing for their art. Madrid is similar to other european cities, but with a spanish flair. The heart of the city is La Puerta del Sol, kind of like the Times Square of the city. The food is delicious, especially La tortilla espanol, but make sure you know how to read the menu or you will have a nice surprise! And yes, of course it was worth it.

Madrid is the capital of Spain. The Real Palace of Madrid is the official residence of His Majesty the King of Spain, that is used in the ceremonies of State, although does not live there.
