if you are going to go to spain i definatly reccomend mallorca. Palma is the capital of mallorca and is very very busy and a huge place. I go to mallorca 2 or 3 times a year and always stay in a place called santa ponsa and i have lots of friends there now. Most of the hotels and apartments here are very close to the beach and it is lovely..not too busy, good shops and gorgeous resturantes and bars. Magaluf is just a bus ride up the road from here if you want night clubs and discos at night. Alcudia is also a very nice place with miles of beach. From all places you can get a taxi or a bus into palma for the day. Palma aquarium is amazing to spend a few hours in and there are some fantastic shops aswell as the cathedral which is great to walk around so you can spend the whole day there. Also there is a trip that takes you all over the island for the day so you get a real tatse of mallorca with some amazing sights. If you go deffinatly go to see a show called son amar..it is expensive but it is very formal and the best show i have ever seen. Marineland is also a fantastic place to go if you have children because there are lots of animals to look at and a dolphin and sea lion show which is great. Mallorca really is a beautiful place and fantastic weather in june but i would say if you like a quite peacefull holiday then stay somewhere outside of palma like palma nova or santa ponsa and just spend a few days in palma. Hope you have a good holiday where ever you decide to go xx

June is a great month for holidays, the main reason is that it is not yet the overcrowded high season (july and august)
The following is a chain of hotels, most of which are directly on/or very near a good beach...

Check out their website, they usually have some good offers for mid or low season.
There are other chains such as Sol-Melià, RIU, etc.

It all depends on what it is that you are after. A great deal of the coastal regions of Spain get flooded and over crowed with tourists that time of year. SO much so that finding a spot on the beach becomes very hard to find. It also depends on your age and your budget as you have all styles of accommodation from backpackers/hostels through to pensiones, hotels and apartments. It also depends on which side of Spain you wish to be on. I myself preferred a place in the Basque region called San Sebastion. It had everything and was warm and friendly. But no matter where you go in Spain watch out for the Gypsy's and the muggers/pickpockets they run rife.
