Want to hire a car from Gerona airport Barcelona without using a credit card?
We fly to Barcelona on 18 aug and need to hire a car but don't have a credit card is there anyway around this. Getting really desperate now PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!
A credit card is more than a method of payment these days. They need to be able to charge you if you damage the car and this is their guarantee of being able to do so. If I were you I'd have a chat with one or two of the main hire companies and see whether they ever hire out cars in such circumstances. Then, perhaps you need to apply for a credit card, even if it is only for use in this type of situation.

You could evidently use cash, but they will ask you for a deposit (guarantee) and it would probably be very high...
