Spain is one of the safest countries in the world. That's why it is full of tourists!

There are petty robberies of tourists. These are carried out mainly by Gypsies and foreign immigrant thieves. They are easily identifiable. They look like gypsies.
The Government put up with them because of political correctness. After all, the Gypsies are only carrying on their traditional way of life!

Avoid them and do not buy anything from them.

Anyway, Spain is super safe. Just act as you would at home and you will have a great time!

As to being Asians, the towns are full of Japanese tourists and you can't get more Asian than that!

Granada is a quite safe town. And you'll love the Alhambra. The shopping district (alcaiceria) is great for market-style shopping. Pick up a copy of Tales of the Alhambra, and you'll appreciate so much more what you've seen.

Being women/girls shouldn't be a problem, though I like the suggestion not to walk alone after dark. Always good advice.
but travelling in twos and up should be ok.

I found the gypsies to be extremely aggressive outside the cathedral. be prepared to tell them NO, and FIRMLY, or they will keep on pestering you, and if you let them do that, they will pick your pocket or worse.

Spain is quite safe. Just have a look for pickpockets at touristic crawded places and don't walk alone in lonely dark places by night (Use taxis). To be completely safe just check with the touristic office on arrival for areas to avoid or just try to ask people about where to go and when (people in Andalusia will always try to be helpful even if they don't speak any English)
By the way: give a try to Cordoba too!

You are in for a treat. The Alhambra in Granada is simply wow and Seville is a great city for a party. Bring lots of warm clothes as it is quite cold in winter and there is also skiing in Granada.
If you are going out on the town, stay together and go back to the hotel together.
Watch money, mobiles etc. as most of the tourists out here get robbed. My dad got robbed in Madrid.
Beware of Gypsys and do not let them "read" your palm or give you a herb called Rosmary as they will look for lots of money off you.
Have a lovely trip.
