no way....not possible at all..........the syllabuses will be diffrent and it will be imposible, no school will ever allow it...
your best bet is move over there and go to the uk in school hollidays, summer 3 months, 3 weeks xmas, maybe at easter...etc............
i would suggest you put your children in spanish school, as that way they will pick up the language a lot easier. I did, and I am now a fluent spanish speaker.
how ever if you were looking for english schools i know of a few on the costa del sol.
There is sotogrande in estepona, its a boarding school.
There is the NEIC (new English international college) that on the outskirts of marbella (between marbella and calahonda) I had many friends at this school, and looked around it before returning to uk to do A levels. I recommend it, its very friendly atmosphere and has a high reputation.
There is St Anthonys, a day school (cant remember the name of the road, its outside of fuengirola area) another popular choice for brits on the costa del sol.
but i still think your best bet is moving over there and putting your kids in a spanish school....................it will be hard at first, but the end result is definatly worth it!! |

I think you would. It would be great for your kids to experience both sides of the coin! Kids are wonderful at adapting...good luck. I know someone who used to do 6 months in the UK and 6 months in Africa and they did fine at school. |

You certainly won't get one in the UK, as there aren't enough places in schools for the kids who already live here.
You would be better taking them out of school for a year, to start in the next grade the following year. |

The International School in Sotogrande is excellent and teaches the english cirriculum, but you will need a large bank balance. I don't know if you can go there for 6 months at a time. There is also an International School in Marbella. Spanish schools are a non-runner as the kids are taught in Spanish and cover a completely different range fo subjects. Home tuition is an alternative and qualified teachers can be found (with difficulty) who teach with the aid of KS level books.
Can't help you out with websites, but Sotogrande should be easy to find (Costa Del Sol). Super place. Golf, beaches & lots of parties for kids !. Good luck. |

No school that I know of here in Spain would allow that. I think it's selfish to be considering disrupting your child/children for the sake of living in the sun. Make up your mind it's here or the UK, or wait until your child is old enough for you to do it, for instance when they have left school. It may seem like a long time, but take a look at this from their view point, can you imagine your parents dragging you to a foreign country putting you in a new school especially one that doesn't speak your language, and then just when you begin to settle down and make friends etc, they drag you out to do the same thing back in the UK.
Get real, and think of your kids, before yourself.
Many years ago I spent a lot of the school holidays coming to Spain especially in the summer. My daughter was 8, she thrived on it, learning the language whilst we were here, but gong back to normal life when the holidays were over. For this experience she got top grades in Spanish, and we now have been here in Spain 16 years. But she never missed school n the UK (well maybe a couple of days sometimes) and therefore her school education never suffered. |

its hard work to get a school in Spain as you have to register, then get all the child's education documents present them to the local town hall and then you have a long wait to be given options for schools then choose one and wait to see if they accept you. it can be a long drawn out business |

Depending what area you want to live in Spain. On the Costa Blanca there is the Javea International School and Lady Elizabeth School in Lliber. Both of these have web sites. These are privately run schools. I can't think your idea would be possible in the state school, simply you would have to be residents of Spain before they take in children. I don't know what ages your children are but if they are teenagers coming up to important exams time, I would personally not do this. It would be too disruptive. Though to live in another country and just experience another way of life is something of an opportunity. We have lived here 17 years and even though it has been hard going sometimes, at least we have done it. |

I would doubt it - and is the prospect of better weather worth destroying the continuity of your child's education? |

never heard of that, but school holidays are 3 months in Spain, so you could spend 9 months in Spain and 3 in Britain. sound pretty good to me. |
