For accommodation look on OCTOPUS travel as the have some good deals, If you looking for tourist sights to visit go on the Bus touristic and get a 2 day pass for 23 euros it stops at all the major sights and you can get on or off as many times as you like tickets are available on the Rambalas

The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day. There is also 1 mile long city beach with clean soft sand, ideal for sun bathing.

Our Man In Bananas
Unless it's a weekend with your bf/gf, hubbie/wifey, children or fiance I suggest you stay in a hostel ...

These days they are clean, safe, and comfortable plus you will have loads more fun and meet more friends to see the sights with.

And find a budget flight on skyscanner.net

For things to do, apart from the usual tourist bus and Parc Guell, Segrada Familia etc I recommend you go one evening to see the Font Magica light and music show at Plaza Espana - it's free and if you take a bottle of wine plus some plastic glasses it's a great evening!

Hope that helps

Philip
