Local girls in Barcelona are notoriously hard to pick up by foreigners (unless you look like Brad Pitt), and will often snub any advances - even if it's not a pick up line (like can I have a light? Do you know where the toilets are?), so don't get your hopes up. There will be loads of other foreign tourists around, too, though, and you'll need to check out the Black Sheep pub (la oveja negra) just off las Ramblas on Calle Sitges, which is the best place to go to meet people. Travel bar in the gothic Quarter is also a decent place to meet like minds, but if you're feeli confident with your spanish, head down to the Olympic Village and to Shoko, Catwalk, CDLC and Opium where you'll find the beautiful people. |
