Salva said it very well. Spain is just like any country. Club goers tend to start (and finish) much ler than in many other countries. In fact, the typical schedule is much later than most countries.

I always thought that family seemed closer there than in the US, and people are more likely to spend their free time in family situations than not, but that´s not hard and fast.

When I lived there, we spent a lot of time in cinemas, discos (clubs weren´t as big back then) and "tapa hopping", and travelling, because I was only there for one year, and it was important to me to get to see a lot of the country.

We like to go out for a walk along the streets full of bars, terraces, or go shopping.
We like cinema (Iike in every country I guess), to go to the discos, clubs... to dance, to share moments with friends and the family, to take a break on a park (maybe sunbathing), to relax during the "siesta", to meet boys/girls, go to the beach (or to the mountains), maybe go to the gym or doing some sport...

Well, I guess like everybody in the world!!!

It depends on what your lifestyle is. If you want something fast paced, the big cities have a lot of world-class restaurants and clubs and concerts. If you want something laid back, you could go to a resort on the Ocean and just lie around and eat and drink. If you like architecture, Spain has some of the best Medieval architecture in the world. Some of the things you will find in Spain will make your eyes widen, that is how beautiful they are. Please buy a "Lonely Planet" book for Spain, it will tell you every attraction in Spain, and there are many! You can get one for under $10 on the link below.

If you are up for clubbing and the best nightlife on the planet, go to Ibiza, one of the Balearic islands on the Mediterranean. If not there are also beautiful beaches and resorts. Also you can`t miss the best sunsets of the Mediterranean on one of the sunset bars at San Antonio.
