The Costa Del Sol.

from here the whole of Spain is open to you, if you have the time.

Don't miss Granada, old historic, but, modern too. The Alhambra Palace is a world heritage site, allow a few hours for this visit.

Ronda with it's famous gorge and bull ring, the oldest in Spain. Now just a museum.

Gibraltar not a part of Spain signs a concord on 18th Sept to allow easier access both on and off of the rock. Well known for the Barbary apes, the only wild apes in Europe, not too wild, they are fed by taxi drivers and everyone else. Take a dolphin spotting trip the kids will love it. take a boat to Africa from the coach station. Bye a watch or camera in main street and save some cash, Gibraltar is a tax free state.

Beaches abound on the Costa Del Sol. Today the temperature is 115 f at 5.55pm.

Depends what floats your boat. There are so many beautiful museums. And of course, there's the palace in Madrid. There is a small city called Segovia, absolutely gorgeous. There's a church there that took 500 years plus to build. Then there's Toledo where the women run up to you with hand-embroirdered (spelling) tableclothes, napkins etc... Depending where you go, you may also catch a glimpse of Portugal. Spain is really beautiful.

Jeres de la Frontiera becaue of the wine Jeres (Cherry); from there one can travel to the most remarkable cities of Andalucia: Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba and others.

The Man
The whole country is terrific. Try and find some small towns and talk to the residents.

I live in Colmenar in Malaga, which is a cute white washed town in the mountains with a fabulous hotel (los arrieros - 42 euros per night) from here, you can visit the caves in Nerja, the lakes at El Chorro, the cathedral and Picasso museum in Malaga, See the monkeys in Gibraltar and even go for a day trip to Tangiers in Africa!

Madrid, Seville, Cordoba (my personal favorite), and Costa Del Sol (but only because you can take a boat to the Rock of Gibraltar and the northern most tip of Africa).
