For anyone who knows a country there is so much!
Madrid, for the culture, etc. It is the capital, and, as such, has a great representation of all of Spain, the best flamenco, bullfighting is good, there (with one of the prettiest bull rings) fĂștbol, shopping. If you can be there on a Sunday, the Rastro flea market, just down hill from the Plaza Mayor, and the coin and stamp market at P. Mayor, are both a neat draw. They end at around 2:00.
The Prado, Reina SofĂa and Thyssen Bournemasza art museums are the largest and best know. (sorry, always misspell that last one. He wasn't of Spanish heritage.)
Retiro park, Palacio Real and Cathedrasl and several outdoor sculptures and fountains, buildings and such, all should be seen.
The Aqueduct and AlcĂĄzar in Segovia, Greco museums and synagogues in Toledo, Curtain walls in Ăvila, Alhambra in Granada, Cathedral and AlcĂĄzar in Sevilla (there's tons of stuff to do in Sevilla), architecture and art and culture in Barcelona. There is so much to see and do, there are other towns that have less draw on tourists, but are equally interesting, for their various virtues.
OH, and I'm not even going to get into the natural parks and beaches, and nightlife!
So much to do!!! So little time!!! |
