La Tomatina is celebrated in Buñol, Valencia the last Wednesday of August, which coincides with the town´s fiestas.

Does´t happen all over Spain usually a Northern fiesta very rarely happens in the southern Spain as water is too scarce to waste on tomatoes that are not eaten.
