What do i need to recharge my ipod in Spain?

If your charger is NOT capable of taking 220V, you will blow up the battery before it charges...probably in about half the time it takes in the US.
Even if you DO have a converter, or your charger is dual voltage, you will probably not be able to use the device for terribly long...you will ruin the battery and need a new one.

Find out if it's possible to get the same size/shape battery THERE, if you're going to be there for long enough. Then you are more likely to have it for a while.

The Ipod itself, probably won't be damaged, unless you are using IT with the electricity without a converter.

One of my friends plugged her digital clock into the wall in Spain...it was really amusing...we watched it switch on, and looked at each other, and said...well, it's working...it'll be okay. We looked at it about ten minutes later, and realized that it was running about twice as fast as normal.

The voltage really DOES make a difference. Plus, their electricity is Direct Current (ours is Alternate) and that, too, makes a difference.

I assume you are referring to UK plugs? In that case you will have no problem. The plug adaptor is sufficient as the power in Spain is the same as in the UK (220 V).

I brought my Ipod here. It depends on what kind of charger you're using and if it can handle the voltage. I charge mine either by plugging it into my computer or charging it in my Logitech speakers.

I only own an adapter. I've been here 6 months and have never bought a converter... And never burned up a thing.

In fact, I did buy a converter at one point... And I burned THAT up because I didn't need it!

The Apple ones are 30â‚¬+
Belkin ones are 20â‚¬-25â‚¬
and if you use eBay (Maybe before you go) buy a CHEAP one from Hong Kong, With a Europlug (TypeC)

I've only been on Vacation to places with Europlugs recently... even in Bali they have Europlugs Type C...
I have the iPod Touch (2nd Gen)
I bought mine here in Spain... I have the USB Charger, it works on the PC but not in a Car > USB Charger, or Household Plug > USB =S Othe rthing's charge from it... I can't seem to find the Volts in the Manual... =/

I don't know what that works... but I think the iPod touch (at least) is dual voltage...some things like my Blackberry Storm, I can put a button on the plug socket and I can change the head, from a Type C to Schuko, USA Plug or Austrila (like the US but curved) so I think some things maybe that don't need an Earth and be used in dual voltage... but I know Televisions ect. don't work easily from the USA to E.U ect.

If you have the original ipod charger, it should be dual voltage. Look for a 110/240 indicator on it somewhere. You won't need a voltage converter in that case.

I'm guessing you're coming from the US. Our voltage is 110, Spain's is 220. If you don't use a converter, you'll blow out the ipod.
