That's a GOOD CHOICE!!! You will have a blast! You may have to look out for yourself a little bit, because I understand the parents in Spain have become really relaxed in their care of the youngsters...Not that that's a bad thing, but you need to know how to take care of yourself.

I understand that teenagers spend a lot of time doing things in groups, and hanging out in clubs till all hours. I'm sure they still go to the movies, and hang out in pubs and such... they don't spend that much time at home, like American kids do. Few have their own rooms as you probably do, and their homes are much smaller than ours are. (space is more limited there), and they spend a lot of time "en la calle", which is how they say "out and about".

You will have a great time! Just don't allow anyone to get you into anything you wouldn't be allowed to do at home. (or not too much, anyway).

hi there it is a same that you did not say to where you were going to in Spain then people could answer your question better as to is been a foreign exchange student a good or bad choice it may or may not be its all down to where you are and who your staying with

better than italy, pub crawls and idiocy not on the part of the locals, but the exchange students. No one knows what to do with all the drunk americans, except charge them some more and clean up the puke. Some italian cities depend on this raucous crowd for their livelihood.

You must make friends when you get there. I made a lot of Spanish friends and had a good time. Teens in Spain like to do the same as we do. Trust me! Music, eat, travel..have fun!
