We call our police policia as mentioned but there are 3 forces ,the local police, the guardia civil, and the national police, the goverments future intent is to amalgamate the guardia and national into one unit, this however maybe sometime coming.

We have two types of Police here in Spain, Policia nacional, which incorporates Policia Local, this Police body is responsible for civil law. Then there is the Guardia Civil which is responsible for criminal law. Both of these Police forces are involved in maintaining law and order throughout Spain.Hope this helps.

In slang Pasma, Madera, Pitufos, Poli. But never heard something like carbonie. Maybe you are meaning the Italian carabinieri.

We called them Policia, but we have some slang words to talk about them as "Maderos", "Pasma", "Pitufos", "Txakurra"
For the Local Police (Policia local), we have the term "Munipa"
Talking about "La Guardia Civil" (Military police), we call them "pikolos"
