Spent most of my academic life studying Spanish and Spain, the culture and the history.

I LOVE the light! The way it feels, the food, the people, just walking down the street...it is just such a warm feeling! Well, people are really friendly when you speak their language...love to visit with strangers, and all. So, if you are thinking of going to ANY country, pick up a couple of basic phrases...For Spain, just study everything you can, and you´ll have a blast.

Being able to wake up in the morning, look out of your balcony and see the turquoise sea. Putting on a bikini instead of a fur coat. Seeing people who are happy instead of the dreary looking faces you usually see at home!!

5) generally its much cheaper than the UK
6) like another writer said, its nice to see happy faces, NOT on the spanish but on the Brits when they are here, you can tell they are happier here than they are in the UK!
7) health service, better than the UK
8) car tax/insurance cheaper
9) I am NOT scared to go out at night!!!!!
10) give me a minute I have to think of more things........

The general attitude of the people to relax, live a little, and have fun. There isn't any rushing, life just goes at its own natural steady slow pace.
