Amazing!! I love modern art, so I think it's a great museum.
They have a wonderful collection of paintings by Dali and the best piece in the museum (in my opinion) is Guernica by Picasso. It's a powerful piece of work and no reproduction does it justice...it must be seen!!
I have also seen some great special exhibits there.
I travel often to Madrid and never skip the Reina Sofia.

Don mis this place: Reina Sofia is a superb musseum where the Guernida of Pablo Picazoo has found an especial retreah to live and relax for ever
Reina Sofia has other pictorical amenities that deserve the repect of the poeple who love the art and its expresions.

Don't forget that you are in el Paseo del Prado, an croosing the Aveniue you have el Museo de Prado, and el Tysen Bormemizar.

The Sofia is a great museum if you're into Modern Art.

If for no other reason, to see "Guernica", one of Picasso's most sombre & in the deepest meaning, one of his best paintings. That one alone draws a lot of people. But it's but a tiny portion of this great museum.

It also has a superb library if you're into art history and so forth.

If you're into Dali, Picasso, & Spanish Modernists, it's THE must see in Madrid.

I've been there several times, including shortly after the musem opened in the mid 1990s.

Good Travels!!!
