What does "S.A." mean in Spanish addresses?

I've seen addresses in Spain written like -

"Name of recipient
Address line 1
Address line 2
Address line 3
S.A., Espana"

- What does the S.A. mean?
Additional Details
It's not a street. But probably a city or region in Spain, I just don't know which.

S.A. is always in Spain "sociedad anónima" which is a type of company. Limited company is not S.A., it's S.L. and it is the equivalent to the English Ltd.

On the old times, SA means Salamanca on the vehicle registration plate. As BarcelonaMan says before, it's probably a mispelling or a bad joke.

As one of the other answerers said SA usually means 'sociedad anonima' which is Spanish for limited company.

It looks like fraud to me. Did they tell you you won the Spanish lottery in an email?

S.A. means nothing. They're saying that S.A. is the city in this case. No one would list a Spanish city as simply "S.A.", they'd write the entire name. I'd bet that if you gave us the full address it wouldn't even exist or would be terribly misspelled. I've seen this dozens of times. Nor can I think of a city which could be abbreviated as "S.A.". Beware.

I do not know; but I will ask my sister in law - she currently lives in Spain, perhaps she might know.

I've seen that too, on lorries and things on the motorways. I have no idea what it means though, so I would be interested to find out...

SA usually means something along the same lines as Inc. in America, or Ltd. in Britain.

It may mean Aragón, or Asturias, possibly Andalucía. Are any of those in the line 3 of the address.

I'm not familiar with that, and I lived in Spain...never needed that on any of my mail, coming to me there, or sending mail there.
