I don't mean anything by "inland dirk". Doesn't make sense.

Goodness knows.. Inland is away from the sea... A dirk is a small dagger.. Worn by Scotsmen in the top of their socks.

Say what ...?

Dirk, Sanlucar is not inland. It´s a coastal town in Cadiz - Spain.

OK, for everybody's information there is more than one Sanlucar and I live close to one of them which is very much inland. Sanlucar la Mayor is the administrative centre for us and is about 40 miles as the eagle flies from the coast. It happens to be the place where we have the largest solar tower power station in the world.

nutsy
Means that in response to your original question about not being able to go into the sea, that prehaps you staying inland as in not near the coast. Just being sarcastic - ignore him.
