Segovians seem to be obsessed with roasts and most places proudly boast their 'horno de asar' (roasts)
The speciality is 'cochinillo asado' (roast suckling pig) and most places serve it. It is delicious.
A place that is very popular with the locals and is reasonably priced is

Most of the bars/restaurants offer a daily menu at lunch time from 1.30 pm on!) for something around 7-12€. It is normally a 3 course meal, often including a drink. I recomend to go for this. Dinner time is from 9.30 pm on, and much more expensive without this special. |

There's this little place, right in the Plaza Mayor...can't remember the name of it....just eat wherever you are when you're hungry. Find a place that says "Bar/Restaurante" and check what the tapas look like, or if the menu looks good. No need to be so picky. Really, you'll wind up searching for some place for an hour, you'll get hungrier, and crankier, and then, when you finally find the place you were looking for, chances are, it'll be closed! Just eat when you are tired and hungry. Much better plan!
