Your friend needs a passport...that's certain...I'm not sure about the visa...he/she needs to contact the Consulate (Spanish in the US) in the city near you and ask them that or make an appointment ahead of time. Also, before you leave to Spain make sure you get a converter for your electronics. Europeans have different volatge ... it's 220V unlike 110V in the US. Buying a guide in a travel section in a bookstore would also be helpful.

You don´t need a visa, only a passport, usually travel agencies can answer that kind of questions.

DR. BJ
you need a passport and a tourist visa!

gumby and pokey
I don't think you need a visa but definantly a passport. I'm not too sure but I think non citizens that want to enter the US only need visas. But you do need a passport to go into any other country. Check a web site for the Mexican embassy in Spain. they could give more info.

Usually an airplane or a boat? To find out look up the website on the government of Spain's tourism website. You need at least a passport to anywhere these days. The Spanish website will tell you if you need a visa for tourism or work and how to get one. The Mexican government's department of tourism will also have a page for all the requirements for someone to travel to every country in the world.
