It depends what you want to do, and where abouts in Spain you want to go.
There's always something going on all year round, so any month is good. But if it's sea, sun and hot weather you're after, best July/August in the North, May-Sept in the Mediteranean, and all year round in the Canary Islands.
Personnally I prefer it when it's not so hot, to go sight seeing, in which case spring or maybe early autumn are a good time of year. |

if you want to avoid most part of the tourists go in april, may. the weather is nice and not very hot yet. June, July and August, really hot! September ok too. |

April. Fair in Sevilla. Best event to go to.
Actually, September, October and early November are nice weather, as is most of the Spring. By June, a lot of places are getting really hot, and in the winter, it gets fairly cold, so, unless you want to run around in winter clothes, spring and fall are best. |
