I would probably say castelldefels.. but that's because it's close to the city (Barcelona), but at the same it has some of the best beaches over there, so it's the best of "both worlds" city life, and a natural (small town) kind of life..
but as i hear, it is also quite expensive to live there..

If you mean the capital city, Sarrià is the most expensive so I guess that would be the best but if I were you, I'd live in the Eixample. That neighborhood is very close to the city centre, well communicated (lots of tube stations), plenty of night life as well as services. Is a very well balanced place to live.
