LLorret do mar is the biggest and liveliest resort quite like benidorm - lively loads of shops but a bit seedy in places. There is a fab waterpark with dolphins etc just outside llorret and you can get the bus to barcelona in 90 mins from llorret. You can also go on a trip to universal mediterraneo in salou from here.

Lloret del Mar or Tossa del Mar are nice places to visit in the Costa Brava and very accesible by train to Barcelona.. ( only an hour or so away)..
