Spring is the best time to visit Barcelona, as you can expect a temperature of round and about 20 degrees Celsius. During summer, it can get very hot and humid (about 30 degrees) and crowded,

I'd defo say april as its good weather but not too hot for walking around sightseeing etc plus its a little quieter when you go to the famous sites. x |

For Spain in general - including Barcelona - the springtime and autumn months are the best time to visit. The weather is better, the light is still good and the flora is alive. You'll also find, generally speaking, lodging prices are lower in the early/late months of the year as it's not considered PEAK (summer) season - which are late spring until early autumn.
The entire region of Galicia and the Basque Country are two wonderful parts of Spain. "FABULOUS", yes. It's all very green, lots of nature and GREAT food too.
