What is the cheapest place i could stay in barcelona per night>? Preferably in eixemple?
there are 3 of us, one over 50, and were staying for 5 nights during july. It doesnt matter if its a hostel or a full blown hotel just that it is a separate room with a separate bathroom and AC
Don't choose the Travelodge option! L'Hospitalet is not even part of Barcelona! That hotel is in an industrial zone of l'Hospitalet, so not a great variety of shops, sights, etc. there. And besides you will spend at least half an hour every time you go to the Eixample.
Give the Hostal Aribau a try. Not very expensive and it's in the very centre of the Eixample (and of the rest of Barcelona).

I stayed in a travel lodge there for 35 euros. Own bathroom - good and clean. I took a quick look and the prices range from 35 upwards at the moment. I like them as you can get a family room which sleeps 4.

Eixemple is the most prestigeous neighborhood in Barcelona. The cheapest place in Barcelona is not likely to be there, and the cheapest place in Eixample is not likely to be very cheap.
